    Big Pay Announcement- "Safety-Net" Added

By now you know that our average sales agent makes $16 per logged hour (with no missed hours), and our top 25% average $19+ per hour...

Many people who generally do average or better have expressed concern about an unexpected "off week."

In the past numerous people planned ahead by deferring part of their bonuses for us to hold. Some have used the money to pay for tuition or Xmas gifts. Others have drawn from these savings during an unexpected "off week."

NOW, we're offering a "Safety-Net." During weeks where you had few missed hours (missed hours ratio<10%) and your Sales Per Hour was at least 0.5, your pay can not fall below $11 per logged hour (not counting missed hours deductions).

Beginning January 2016, you can enjoy the great pay as you earn it without too much worry about an off week. A new pay memo will be available later today to explain this further.

    Happy and Healthy New Year.

Created in 1967, Wildwood helps children with learning disabilities or autism, serving over 1,000 families each year.

The talented Quillio took top honors in the Garage to Glory competition with her sweet voice and baritone ukulele while western New Yorker Zaje brings a country perspective. Holly & Evan have their own update on the blues, while Harkes favors old-school belting that has placed her in many of the area's ''best of'' polls, and Skane brings high-powered pop rock.

    BONUS PAY POOLS

Beginning Monday, 8/29/11, The New "Bonus Pool" pay policy will go into effect.

This new pay policy differs from our prior in how Missed Hours affect your pay. Previously, Missed Hours used to decrease the value of your sales and the rewards for hard work. The result was that bonus pay grew slower during weeks with Missed Hours.

Now, your Sales and NonSales activities build a Bonus Pool which grows equally strong with each Sale and with each NonSelling Hour, despite absence and other Missed Hours. The Missed Hours then diminish the Bonus Pool at a rate equal to 1 Sale for each Missed Hour.

If you get MORE than 1 Sale Per Hour, your Bonus Pool now "catches-up" quicker than it used to. However, if you get less than 1 Sale Per Hours, your Bonus Pool catches-up slower.

This is great news for all our hard workers who work hard even when life interferes with attendance.

Please click on "Show ME The Money" to view our updated Wage Policy.

The only other change is the removal of a loop-hole in Paid Flex time.

I know..., it is complicated. But, if you have no absence then you're part of a group averaging over $14 per hour with many earning over $20 per hour in most weeks.

    Great Few Weeks

Now that summer's over, everyone's back to business; including me.

The past few weeks, have been big for many. This week's paychecks will not be an exception.

    If nobody had missed hours...
    - Average pay would be $14.60/hr logged
    - 38% would earn above $14.5/hour
    - 1 out of 7 people would be over $18/hr

    With missed hours...
    - Average pay = $13.48/hr
    - 30% earned above $14.50/hr
    - 1 out of 14 earned over $18/hr

If we reduce the absence, we can bring our average pay up by over $1/hour logged.

    If Nobody Had Missed Hours
Top 85% would have earned $14 per hour.

    Camp Wildwood Volunteer Day

Wildwood School, in Schenectady, is The Capital Region's premier school for developmentally disabled kids with autism and related disabilities.

Camp Wildwood is the summer setting where these great kids continue their therapies and education. While they don't get the typical summer vacation, I can tell you that my son Ari, his classmates and many others look forward to summers at camp.

This year, however, will be a challenge. Destructive ice and wind storms, along with economic challenges, have left the camp in a state of disrepair.

    YOU CAN HELP!

See your supervisor to sign-up for a fun, fulfilling day outdoors helping to fix-up the camp. Lunch and transportation will be provided. Plus, 4 flex hours.

    3 Days To Choose From
    Sun, June 7 9a - 2pm
    Sat, June 13 9a - 2pm
    Sat, June 27 9a - 2pm

Look forward to seeing you there.

    Health Insurance Open Enrollment

Recently, I had seen a bit of the movie Titanic. Over a thousand exuberant passengers packed this unsinkable luxury liner for a cruise across the ocean. Noone ever expected the unsinkable ship to sink.

While we all may feel healthy and bouyant, we’re not unsinkable. In fact, we need regular maintenance just to cruise safely. Fortunately, May is here, and that means it’s time for open enrollment in the Informed Marketing Services Inc. Health Plan. Our opportunity to keep you sailing in the right direction.

All employees who have been eligible for Health Benefits, but have not signed up, have another chance to enroll in our company sponsored health plan. Don’t miss this chance, or you’ll have to wait till next May.

    How To Enroll?
Contact your Supervisor to verify that you are eligible. If you are, they’ll get you an enrollment form. Be sure to return the form, filled in, preferably before April 29th, but certainly no later than May 26th. Hope to see you on board.

    Wildwood Fundraiser Huge Success!

Wildwood's Fiddler's Walk took place this past Saturday. Despite the pooring rain, Dave Wallace's team showed up in force, and made a great show of it. I don't have the final count, but I'd estimate we had @ 20 people.

Wildwood raised over $25,000 to benefit their developmentally disabled childrens' and adults' programs and living facilities.

Our company's total is not yet in. But our strong support and team spirit were inspirational. Wildwood has expressed tremendous appreciation.

Dave made an exceptional effort to promote the event and build our team. It's therefore fitting that Dave Wallace should win the Team Recognition Award. Dave, please accept our appreciation and enjoy your well-deserved $50 Gift Card at The Butcher Block Restaraunt in Albany.

Finally, The Fiddler's Walk was an inclusive event in which everyone could participate. It was inspiring to see developmentally disabled adults, the elderly, and even Tina Yetto's 4 year old daughter walking with us (with a little help from Ryaz). It was a memorable day. The rain just added to the experience.

Thanks for supporting the disabled and our community. I hope you're all as proud as I am.

    Thanks For Helping The Disabled.

Informed Marketing Services is a sponsor and an ongoing contributor to The Wildwood School, benefiting children with autism and other developmental disabilities.

This past weekend (6/24), Danielle, Tracy and Dawn joined me and 15-20 other volunteers from around the Capital Region to help prepare Camp Wildwood for summer.

While I was off preparing camp sites and trails; Danielle, Tracy and Dawn scrubbed bathrooms, showers, toilets and floors. They cleaned the playgrounds and pavillions of all the debris nature deposits throughout the winter and spring. At the end of the day, they went home very tired, a little dirty and with great reason to be proud.

The Wildwood Camp is not a playground for privileged kids. Wildwood Camp is an important learning site where hardworking children continue their lessons as well as their struggles. My son Ari and many others don't inately know how to play or participate in group activities, and few have friends. Summer activities are artfully taught and group interactions are skillfully facilitated. Teachers and therapists bring their curricula out of the classrooms and integrate nature throughout their day.

Ari will be entering his 3rd year at Camp Wildwood. Now 8 years old, Ari started speaking just prior to last summer and spent the summer building upon his new found gift. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers like Danielle, Tracy and Dawn, I'm confident that this summer will yield another fun and successful opportunity to learn and have fun doing it.

Danielle, Tracy and Dawn, thanks for all your help. You did a great job. You made a big difference.

Thanksgiving Voucher 2005 Was No Turkey

I'd like to thank Sandy Sagendorf for creating, what I'm expecting to be, a new company tradition; "The Turkey Voucher."

Holidays can be stressful and expensive. Anyone who puts together a complete and festive Thanksgiving meal, then goes out to buy Christmas gifts for the family, is likely to need some help.

Sandy wanted to avoid the scenario of employees lugging home a frozen bowling-ball-of-a-turkey, just to get it home and worry about all of the health issues related to having a stack of birds stored in our facility.

Her idea? Give all employees an easily reached opportunity to win a $25 Price Chopper gift certificate, which will cover much more than just a turkey. All they had to do was get 28 leads or more, over the Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday preceding Thanksgiving. That's easy work for a full-timer, and do-able for a part-timer.

Part-Timers, Full-Timers, New Hires and Veteran employees were all eligible, and they were all well represented in our list of winners. The response was FANTASTIC, and lots of people won.

Congratulations to all our Thanksgiving 2005 Voucher winners; and don't forget to thank Sandy for the great program.

Most of all, have a Safe and Happy holiday.

    Best Wishes.

No Cell-Phones On Calling Floor Policy

We’re sensitive to the difficulties of balancing our professional priorities alongside our personal priorities. But, we can not take on the role of Judge and Jury over which priorities can “invade and interrupt” you in the midst of your work. Therefore, our policy, without exception, is that everyone working on The Calling Floor, including management, must turn off the cell phones upon entering The Calling Floor. Even vibrate mode is not acceptable.

Options On How To Handle Emergencies
    1. Emergency Phone Calls can be placed to the Supervisor Desk: (518) 266-0909 x103.
    2. Check your cell phone voice mail at breaks.
    3. Full time employees may obtain their own voice mailbox in our phone system. Friends and family may leave messages for you there.
